Frequently asked questions

How much will new equipment cost?

Pricing varies depending on the type of equipment and features you’re looking.

How does the quoting process work?

When you call Lumberjack HVAC for a quote, we will discuss the size and scope of your project (age and square-footage of your home). From this call, we will know more about your needs and suggest a price range.

If you are comfortable with the price range, Lumberjack will conduct an on-site visit. By the time we leave, you will have a firm number. There is a $200 consultation fee for every on-site visit. If you choose Lumberjack for your installation, we’ll waive the consultation fee!

What are the benefits of getting regular HVAC maintenance?

Regular HVAC maintenance can provide a number of benefits, including improved energy efficiency, lower utility bills, improved indoor air quality, and a longer lifespan for your HVAC system. By scheduling regular maintenance with a professional HVAC technician, you can identify and address potential issues before they become more serious and costly.

How often should I replace my air filter?

The frequency of air filter replacements depends on a number of factors, such as the type of filter, the level of air pollution in your area, and the amount of use your HVAC system gets. In general, it's recommended to replace air filters every 1-3 months. Regular filter replacements can help improve indoor air quality and increase the efficiency of your HVAC system.

What is the difference between a heat pump and an air conditioner?

While both heat pumps and air conditioners are designed to cool your home, heat pumps are capable of providing both heating and cooling. Heat pumps work by extracting heat from the air outside your home during the winter and transferring it inside to warm your home. In the summer, the process is reversed, with heat being extracted from inside your home and transferred outside to cool it.

How can I improve indoor air quality?

There are several ways to improve indoor air quality, including regular HVAC maintenance, using high-quality air filters, controlling humidity levels, and proper ventilation. You may also consider investing in an air purifier or a duct cleaning service to help remove pollutants and allergens from your home's air.

What are the signs that my HVAC system needs repair?

Common signs that your HVAC system may need repair include strange noises, uneven heating or cooling, poor airflow, increased energy bills, and frequent system cycling. If you notice any of these signs, it's important to schedule HVAC repair as soon as possible to prevent further damage and ensure your system is operating at peak efficiency.
